magenta jellyfish off st. simons, GA, USA

I saw about a half-dozen jellyfish near the surface in very shallow (<4 ft) water at the beaches of St. Simon's Island, GA. They were about 6 in in diameter, translucent magenta cup-shaped organisms with some frilly structures around their perimeter. Tentacles were not visible but the water was murky and the light not very good.
