Lake Jellies?
Description and Comments
I worked at a summer camp a few years ago as a lifeguard/boating instructor in Southern New Hampshire. The kids told me about the jellyfish in the lake and I didn't believe them until after I saw them myself. They looked like a cross between a comb jelly and a moon jelly. I did a little research but couldn't find anything about them online. The lake is about an hour or mores drive from the ocean. Does anyone know about these "freshwater jellyfish"?

There are certainly lake
There are certainly lake jellies in many freshwater habitats, mostly the genus Craspedacusta. If you can get to these links you will find scholarly articles about them: http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=Craspedacusta
Otherwise, you could do an image search for that name and see if the images match you recollection.
Thanks for the report.
