Description and Comments
Observations during blue water dives: Patchy but dense phytoplankton blooms, plenty of salps (Thalia democratica both blastozooid chains and oozoids), ctenophores (Pleurobrachia sp. pileus?, Beroe cucumis, Mnemiopsis leidyi, Bolinopsis infundibulum), Clytia sp., siphonophores (Agalma elegans, Diphyes dispar, Nanomia sp., Sulculeolaria quadrivalvis), Cymbulia sp. pteropods, and probably more stuff that escaped our sight.
