This species is a box
This species is a box jellyfish, specifically Alatina alata. This species can cause severe stings leaving scars; and although this specimen is severely damaged, I can clearly see the areas of which the four tentacles initialized (Pedalia). Please reply if you have an accurate description of the species and if you were stung, how severe it was. Thanks for the nice report and picture!

I got stung in my right leg, it has the shape of a jellyfish and it is the size of my hand. Right now my skin is pink and swollen.
Ouch! Sounds like a Box
Ouch! Sounds like a Box Jellyfish sting. The best thing to do is apply either warm or cool things on the sting. I hope it clears up!
