Jellyfish on Melbourne Beach FL

Description and Comments

There are hundreds and hundreds of jellyfish that washed up today on Melbourne Beach. We have noted several in the week past and then they disappear from the beach and now they are back. Big, medium and small sizes.. Don't know what type. They are clear with a "4" pocket pouch in the middle. High waves today... 6 ft.

Thanks for the report. Sounds like another series of Moon Jellies (Aurelia). Check the "List Sightings" link for some photos to compare with what you are seeing.
