i've swam in thailand almost daily for the last 10 years. i've been stung many times by jellyfish. i had never seen a box jellyfish before today. it was close to the bottom in water about 1.8 meters deep. i swam right over it. it had orange tentacles. it was unmistakably a box jelly.
