How Google has invaded classrooms
"Schools could give Google more than they receive: generations of consumers." In a long article in The New York Times, Natasha Singer analyzes Google's hold on the American school in just a few years. She says half of US primary and secondary schools use Google apps and Chrome boooks, Google's small computers, in class. And this domination impacts pedagogy. The "googlification" of the school is at the expense of the formation of a critical citizen and for the benefit of a future consumer. "No need to understand the answer is in Google", seems to say the article. N Singer also questions the use that is made of the data of the users of his applications by Google. The group lives on the sale of online advertising and student data can accurately define the profiles of millions of customers.
